Complex Fence Laws

Residents confused by Missouri's complicated fence laws will soon have their questions answered.

The University of Missouri Extension will be holding a program to explain the laws in depth on March 4 at the Nodaway County Extension Center. Randa Doty, Agriculture Business Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension says, they will explain the multiple fence laws in the area alone.

Dorty says the number of different laws is what causes so much confusion among land owners. She adds it is beneficial to come to the meeting so you know for sure what is real law.

The program is March 4 at the Nodaway County Extension Office located on the third floor of the Nodaway County Administration Center. There is a $10 fee for the meeting, which covers the program and any materials you will need. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited. You can pre-register by contacting the Nodaway County Extension Office at 660-582-8101.
