Nurses from the St. Joseph Health Department and other nurses across northwest Missouri will be attending a one day conference in Cameron Friday.
A variety of discussions will take place including information on tuberculosis control, immunization assessment and assurance, communicable disease control and prevention, and public health sustainability. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention, and Northwest Disease Control will provide experts in these fields. The Missouri Council for Public Health Nursing and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services are sponsoring the conference. Clinic services at the St. Joseph Health Department, including immunizations, pregnancy tests, prenatal case management, TB testing, and HIV and STD testing and treatment will be suspended Friday.
