Maryville Receives Class Action Money

The City of Maryville recently received over 302 thousand dollars from a class action settlement.

City Manager Greg McDanel says the money is reimbursement for costs associated with removing a weed killer from its water system.

McDanel says Maryville treats for atrazine by using powdered carbon with Maryville's water supply testing well below the E-P-A allowable limits for the contaminant.
