Farmers in Northwest Missouri will have an opportunity to further their education this month.
The University of Missouri Extension offices in Buchanan, Andrew, DeKalb, and Nodaway counties will host their Agriculture Updates in January. Agronomy Specialist for the University of Missouri Extension Wayne Flannery says the Buchanan and Andrew County Updates are half day events and the DeKalb and Nodaway County programs are scheduled for a full day. Flannery says the focus will be on drought recovery this year.
At all updates, the first portion is dedicated to private applicator training for those growers who need to become certified to purchase restricted use pesticides.
The Buchanan County Ag Update will be Wednesday January 16th at the Buchanan County extension office in St. Joseph.
The Andrew county Update will be Thursday January 17th at the Clasbey Building in Savannah.
The DeKalb county ag Update will be Friday January 18th at the DeKalb county courthouse meeting room.
The Nodaway county Update will be February first.
