Bearcat Basketball Teams post weekend wins

The Northwest Missouri State Bearcat men's basketball team jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back in defeating MIAA newcomer Nebraska-Kearney Saturday afternoon 90-60.

Bearcat men's head coach Ben McCollum says his team was able to stay focused through the entire game.

Grant Cozad led Northwest with a career-high 17 points and six rebounds...DeAngelo Hailey was in double-figures for the sixth straight game with 14 points and also six rebounds. Northwest had 23 assists as a team and only six turnovers. The Bearcats improve to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference and will be off until Saturday and Sunday when they travel to Hawaii for games with St. Edwards on Saturday and Harding on Sunday. Both games can be heard on KXCV/KRNW beginning at 4:40pm with our pregame for Saturday's game and 9:40 pm for Sunday evening's match up.
