Bearcat Football Team defeats Ft. Hays State

The Northwest Missouri State Bearcat football team got back on the winning track Saturday with a 48-10 victory over Fort Hays State at Bearcat Stadium.

Northwest head football coach Adam Dorrel says he was pleased with the play of his defense on Saturday.

Linebacker Collin DeBuysere and Cornerback Brian Dixson recorded interceptions for Northwest on Saturday. Tyler Seals and Brady Bolles, filling in for the injured quarterback Trevor Adams, combined to throw for 255 yards with Seals throwing for 2 touchdowns. Bolles led the team in rushing with 111 yards and 1 touchdown. The Bearcats are now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the MIAA and will travel to Kearney, Nebraska Saturday for a 4 o'clock kick-off with MIAA newcomer Nebraska-Kearney. The game can be heard on KXCV/KRNW beginning at 3 o’clock with Bearcat Gameday.
