Mozingo Rebranding

Maryville city officials were presented a number of ideas on how to rebrand Mozingo Lake and the recreation opportunities the lake and surrounding property has to offer residents and tourists.

The ideas come from Northwest Missouri State University's Senior Advertising Strategies class which is operated in an ad agency environment. Account Coordinator for the project Chayse Barr says the class recommends a more cohesive way to market the area.

The class presented a plan rebranding the area as the "Mozingo Lake Recreation Area." Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says he's pleased with the ideas presented during yesterday's meeting.

McDanel anticipates the Maryville City Council and the Mozingo Advisory Group to review the class's proposals this winter and begin a new marketing campaign for Mozingo Lake in the spring.
