Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has appointed two new members to the Missouri Western State University Board of Directors.
Gregory Mason, of Lee's Summit is chief of exercise control at Northrop-Grumman. He is the Assistant Adjutant General for Missouri and is a brigadier general in the Army Reserve and the Missouri National Guard. Mason earned his undergraduate degree from Missouri Western and a master's degree from Park University. He's also a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. The Governor also named Easton resident, Alfred Purcell to the board. President of Purcell Consulting, he spent more than 40 years in executive positions with Xerox Corporation. He serves as the chair of the Heartland Boar of Trustees and is past chair of the Missouri Western State University Foundation. Both terms end October 29, 2018.
