Fresh Start Sign-Up in St. Joe

The opening of the Second Harvest Fresh Start Community Market in St. Joseph is anticipated for the end of the month or first of January.

Officials with Second Harvest are planning for the opening of the facility which will serve as an on-site food pantry and nonprofit grocery store. Fresh Start will provide free, nutritious food to qualified members. To shop at Fresh Start, people must first obtain a no-cost Fresh Picks Membership Card. Second Harvest officials will be holding special sign-up events this week for people who may be eligible for the program. Director of Programs...Christine Feuerbacher says it's a fairly simple process to sign up for Fresh Start.
