Winter Awareness Day

Winter is on its way and Northwest Missouri State University and the National Weather Service are teaming up for Winter Awareness Day.

Today, the university and emergency management organizations across Missouri are reminding people that extreme cold temperatures and storms are dangerous. University Police Lieutenant Mike Ceperley says to dress for the conditions anytime you go outside.

Ceperley also says if you are headed on a long trip, make sure your car is filled with gas.
