Trail Projects

The preliminary design for two trails projects in Maryville is now complete.

Before submitting plans to MoDOT for approval, the city of Maryville will hold public meetings for citizens and residents in the area to provide input on the design. The first is "Phase C," a new pedestrian trail and sidewalk along East 7th street between North Main Street and North Davis Street and also along West 9th Street between North Walnut and North Main Street. The public meeting will be Tuesday the 27th at 6pm in the City Council Chambers at Maryville City Hall. The second is "Phase F," a new pedestrian trail and sidewalk along East 7th street and along East 4th Street. Both would be between North Davis Street and North Laura Street. The public meeting for this will be Thursday the 29th at 6pm in the City Council Chambers at Maryville City Hall. City Manager Greg McDanel says these projects will make these areas easier and safer for walkers.

McDanel hopes construction can begin in the spring or early summer of next year and be completed by the fall. The projects are partially funded through the Missouri Department of Transportation's Transportation Enhancement Program. For more information, contact Public Work Director C.E.
