Northwest Missouri State University is teaming up with the Maryville Community for the annual Project Holiday Hope.
The event was started to go along with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, where all donations are presented to the Maryville Ministry Center. University Events Coordinator, Gina Bradley says President Dr. John Jasinski's wife, Denise, who helped start Project Holiday Hope, likes to see the involvement between the school and community.Bradley adds the support they have had has been overwhelming, and she hopes to see the same this year.Project Holiday Hope donation tubs are set up at the Administration Building on campus, the J.W. Jones Student Union, and at the Student Station's east entrance. Items needed include new or gently used blankets, gloves, mittens, scarves and snow boots. Northwest will also be accepting donations of dry goods, including saltine crackers, cereal, stuffing and instant potatoes. Monetary donations can be sent to Gina Bradley at 220 Administration Building, Maryville, Missouri, 64468. All checks should be made payable to Community Services.
