Customers of the Nebraska Public Power District will see an increase in their electric bills.

Nebraska Public Power District's Board of Directors approved a 3.75 percent average rate increase for both wholesale and retail customers. The increase will take effect January first. The rate increase is due primarily to the continuing pressure on cost to generate and deliver energy. On average customers will see a $ 5.50 increase to their monthly bill.
