Holiday Sobriety

The Missouri Highway Patrol in Northwest Missouri will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints and Driving While Intoxicated Saturations sometime during the month of December.

Sergeant Sheldon Lyon says a D-W-I Saturation and a Sobriety Checkpoint are not the same.

Sergeant Lyon adds these Checkpoints and Saturations are conducted throughout the year, but they normally conduct at least one during the holiday season.

Sergeant Lyon urges motorists who observe drivers that appear to be impaired to dial star 55 on your phone, and you will be connected to the nearest Troop Headquarters.
