A Maryville church plans to serve a supper to benefit local students.
Proceeds from the annual Soup and Chili Supper at Hope Lutheran Church go to the Nodaway County Backpack Buddies program. The program, offered by the Maryville Ministry Center and the Second Harvest Community Services Food Bank in St. Joseph, provides food to elementary school students in Nodaway County who qualify for free or reduced lunches. The Soup and Chili Supper, from 4:30 to 7pm on Sunday, November 4th, takes place at the church located at 931 South Main in Maryville. In addition to soups, there will be vegetable trays, crackers, beverages and desserts provided by members of the congregation of the church. Take out dinners will also be available.
