A Superior Court Judge in San Francisco who grew up in Page County, Iowa will visit Clarinda next month.

Judge Dick Ulmer, Junior will present his memoir at noon Saturday December 29th at the Lied Public Library in Clarinda. Ulmer's book titled "Yorktown: Growing up in Small Town Iowa" tells about his childhood growing up in Yorktown, Iowa. His book was published by News Ink Books. Editorial Director of News Ink Books David Krajicek says Ulmer spent a decade in Iowa.

Krajicek worked with Ulmer as a journalist at the Omaha World Herald and convinced him to write about his time in Yorktown. Again, Ulmer will speak about his book at noon Saturday December 29th at the Lied Public Library in Clarinda.
