Voter Turnout Percentages

With the November 6 elections right around the corner, the Missouri Secretary of State's Office recently predicted a 72 percent voter turnout for the state of Missouri.

This prediction was based on 116 local election authorities' submissions to the office. Communications Director of the Missouri Secretary of State's Office, Stacie Temple, says voter turnout predictions have several factors being put into play.

Temple says if the prediction is true, Missouri will have three million of its 4.2 million registered voters going to place their ballots, over the 69 percent that voted in the 2008 election.
