A local school district won 10,000 dollars in a grant competition.
The Monsanto Fund chose the Northeast Nodaway School District as one of 11 winners in Missouri. The Monsanto Fund works with the America's Farmers Grow Rural Education program. This program gives farmers the opportunity to nominate their public school district to apply for a merit-based grant to enhance math and science education. Monsanto's Community Outreach Manager Gayla Daugherty says they received over 1,100 grant applications from across the country but Northeast Nodaway was unique.
