Minors in Bars

The Maryville City Council discussed the city's ordinance allowing 19 year old and older residents to enter Maryville's drinking establishments.

The Council heard a report from Maryville Public Safety in which Director Keith Wood says compared Maryville's law with similar communities in Missouri.

The Council took no action following the report and Maryville Mayor Glenn Jonagan says more discussion is needed before a final vote on the issue takes place.

The Maryville City Council last night also made a special presentation of appreciation to resident Richard Landes, who donated funds to purchase benches along the community's trail system from East Crestview to the Maryville Middle School.
