Oct. 22, 2012MARYVILLE, MO | By: Coffey
The Maryville City Council will hear a report from Maryville Public Safety concerning a study on the age in which people are allowed in drinking establishments in the community.
Currently, 19 year olds are allowed inside but not allowed to drink. At the request of the Maryville City Council, the Public Safety Department conducted a study on the merits of changing the age to 21 years old...the same age they can legally drink in Missouri. In another item on tonight's agenda...the Maryville City Council will discuss a proposal to establish a section of Third Street as one-way from Dunn Street to Munn Avenue. Tonight's meeting gets underway at 7 o'clock at the City Hall Council Chambers.
