Local Red Cross Volunteers Reach Sandy

Local Red Cross volunteers have reached the east coast in response to Hurricane Sandy.

Shoba Brown of Maryville and Judy Crane of Hopkins, drivers of the Emergency Response Vehicle left St. Joseph late Saturday afternoon and arrived in Middletown, New York yesterday afternoon. Brown says the drive was rough and they are currently on hold as they are taking this storm very seriously.

Brown adds they will have to wait until tomorrow when the storm has died down in order to determine who they will be feeding and the needs that will be addressed.
