Highway 169 Project

Motorists who drive on U.S. Highway 169 in Gentry and Worth counties in northwest Missouri should notice a smoother, quiter, and safer drive.

The 17 mile- three point eight million dollar project that started in July and is scheduled be completed by mid-October. Both lanes and shoulders of US Highway 169 from route O to US 46 were overlayed. from US 136 to route O on US 169 were repaved and a four foot wide aggregate shoulder was added. The two north bridges along US 169 were overlayed and the northmost bridge has had it's expansion joints repaired. Mo-Dot Customer Relations manager Melissa Black says the communities around this project will be pleased with the improvements.

Guardrails will be improved in the fall revamping of US Highway 169 in Gentry and Worth counties adding new steel posts and turndowns will be removed and replaced with new end terminals. For more information on local road projects you can call 1-888-ask-modot.
