Fire Prevention Month

The theme of Fire Prevention Month this year helps remind families to plan their escape in the event of a fire.

The theme, "Two Ways Out", emphasizes the importance of knowing ahead of time the two ways out of a building during a fire. Maryville Public Safety Fire Division Supervisor, Lieutenant,Phil Rickabaugh says key factors of fire prevention include looking for hazards in your home and making sure smoke detectors are working.
