Electric Cooperatives

The National Association of Development Organizations recognizes a local group for innovation.

NADO awarded the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments for a project that helped electric cooperatives across the state develop a hazard mitigation plan. The hazard mitigation plan better prepares electric cooperatives for natural events such as tornadoes or ice storms. Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments Director Tye Parsons says Missouri electric cooperatives are now eligible to apply for federal funding.
