The Missouri State Highway Patrol partners with a regional cell phone provider on a campaign to reduce texting and driving among teenagers.

The Highway Patrol and Northwest Cell are calling on drivers to "stop the texts to stop the wrecks". Sergeant Sheldon Lyon of the Troop H Headquarters in St. Joseph says they're taking the message to area high schools.

Lyon says they also remind young drivers that they're breaking the law when they choose to text and drive.
