He also performed as a backup musician for artists such as The Temptations, Natalie Cole and Aretha Franklin. Anderson, a retired Professor Emeritus of Piano at Missouri Western, continues to be an active performer in the Midwest. Anderson has an experienced musical background, including 38 years as director of music at First Presbyterian Church.
