NW Regents approve NCMC agreement

The Northwest Missouri State Board of Regents yesterday afternoon approved an agreement with North Central Missouri College in Trenton that will strengthen a cooperative effort already in place between the 2 schools.

Northwest and N-C-M-C currently works together to offer a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Nursing. Northwest Provost Dr. Doug Dunham says the new agreement calls for the 2 institutions to share in the cost of a Director of Nursing, which will aid in getting the Nursing program accredited.

The Northwest Board of Regents also approved an anti-hazing policy for the campus and an Athlete Drug Education, Testing and Counseling Policy. Prior to the start of the meeting the Regents were given a tour of Brown Hall and the recent improvements made to that facility which houses the Horace Mann Elementary School.
