The City of Maryville changes chemicals used in its water treatment.
Maryville Public Works Director C.E. Goodall says instead of chlorine, the city water will now use chloramine.
Goodall says the water is safe to drink but it should not be used in dialysis treatment. The city has already contacted the local hospital to confirm they have no patients currently on dialysis. Goodall says any Maryville water users on dialysis should contact the public works department.
