Gun Safety

The Missouri Corrections Officers Association is hosting a handgun safety course in Saint Joseph later this month.

Saint Joseph Representative for the Missouri Corrections Officers Association Shawn Harper says the class is open to anyone interested.

Harper is 1 of the 8 instructors with over 200 years of experience between them that will be teaching the course. Handguns and ammunition will be available on-site to rent, and lunch will also be available. The safety course will begin at 9am at the Boy Scouts of America Camp Geiger, which has a shooting range. The handgun safety course will be September 25th, which is Bill of Rights Day. Class slots are limited and must be made by reservation by calling 815 353 0333.
