The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reminding drivers that we are entering harvest season which may add additional hazards.
Drivers should expect heavier farm machinery traffic, especially on rural highways. Safety is important for both farmers and drivers, so the Highway Patrol is giving the following safety tips. Stay alert for slow-moving farm equipment. Don't pass on a hill or curve. Instead, wait until you have a clear view of the road ahead with no oncoming traffic. Watch for farmer's hand signals or light signals in case they are making a turn.
