The workshop is called Accessing Our History and will show how to use the collection for quick and easy access and searching of papers. Former owner and editor of the Clarinda Herald Journal John Woolson will also speak about his experiences at the paper and in the industry. The digital collection will include Clarinda newspapers dating back to 1859. Most paper sources and micro film will still be available for use by the general public. Funding for the digitalization project comes from the Clarinda Foundation and the Clarinda Public Library Foundation. The Accessing Our History program starts at 6:30 on Tuesday September 11th at the Lied Public Library in Clarinda.
