Attempted Abduction

The Cameron Police Department is on the look out for a man for an attempted child abduction last night.

According to police, the suspect tried to entice children to enter his vehicle at Recreation Park between 8 and 8:30 at night. The suspect was accompanied by a young boy of around 4 to 5 years old who called him "grandpa." The suspect is described as an older, heavy-set, white male with gray hair, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 300 pounds, last seen wearing an orange or bright red t-shirt and blue jeans. The young boy is described as blonde-haired with a skinny build with a hunter green shirt and green or camo shorts. The suspect's car is described as a newer style-silver in color Oldsmobile or Buick Lesabre with a temp tag in the back window. The Cameron Police Department urges anyone with information related to this incident or others to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Cameron Police Department at 816 632 6521.
