Summer Reading Program

Maryville Public Library's summer reading program for 2012 recently concluded.

Hitting a record high this year with participation numbers, Library Director, Stephanie Patterson says they are pleased with the successful turnout and the challenging books the participants chose to read this year. Patterson says the program had a large age range of participants this year.

The participants were reading for a chance to win prizes like medals, trophies and gift cards. All participants got to pick out prizes like toys and books depending on the total minutes they spent on reading throughout the summer.
