The Savannah Branch of Rolling Hills Library is teaching parents and care givers the importance of reading to children.

Parents and care givers who attend the 2 week program will receive a total of 14 books for children and preschoolers. Attendees will learn about the importance of reading to children before they start school, how to choose appropriate books for their children, and new methods for reading out loud. Branch Manager of the Savavannah library and children's specialist for the Rolling Hills Library system Sandra  Keefer says children use visuals adults would not normally use and parents need to understand that.
