Roadside Signs

Drivers may notice a different type of message on the Missouri Department of Transportation's electronic roadside signs.

MoDot wants to bring awarness to those who are not wearing their seatbelts or those who are not be driving safely. The signs will report the number of people who have died on Missouri roads this year and the presentage of those who were not wearing seatbelts. Customer Relations Manager Melissa Black says they just want people to think twice.

Black says Missouri fatalities are up 14 percent with 58 additional lives lost compared to this time last year.
