NW Summer Commencement

Northwest Missouri State University's summer commencement ceremony is scheduled for tonight in Bearcat Arena.

More than 250 students from Northwest's 3 colleges and graduate school will receive bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and education specialist degrees or certifications. Northwest President Dr. John Jasinski says the graduates come from diverse backgrounds.

Summer commencement marks the conclusion of the summer trimester and Dr. Jasinski says this year marked the first time there were more on-line students than on-campus students.

Again, the summer commencement ceremony will be held tonight at 7 o'clock in Bearcat Arena. The commencement speaker will be the chief executive officer of Second Harvest Community Food Bank, David-M-Davenport.
