Graves on Levee maintenance costs

Many communities and counties along the Missouri River are now faced with how to pay for levee repairs caused by last summer's flooding.

U-S 6th District Congressman Sam Graves of Tarkio says he would like to see more money on the federal level used for funding recovery efforts, allocated to helping those communities pay for repairs and added testing of the levees.

Graves made his comments yesterday during a scheduled event at the Northwest Missouri State Farm just north of Maryville.
