Dog Training

The Green Hills Animal Shelter will be offering 2 different dog training programs next month.

Volunteers from the shelter will be teaching the Dog Obedience and "One on One" Dog Obedience classes starting Monday, September 17th. The first class runs for 8 weeks until November 5th, with each session running between an hour and an hour and a half. The class will include teaching to heel, sit, stay, and behave around other dogs. Green Hills Animal Shelter Manager Shelly Cottrell says this is a good bonding experience for any dog owner and their best friend.

Cottrell says to bring a 6-foot nylon or leather leash, a metal-slip chain, a Martin-Gill collar or gentle leader. Dogs should be at least 6 months old and must have all their vaccination records. Slots for both classes are limited; for more information or to register call Meghan at 660 359 2700 or visit www.greenhillsanimalshelter.org.
