NORTHWEST MISSOURI (2012-08-23)
A northwest Missouri woman is lifeflighted to Lincoln, Nebraska after being run over by a forklift yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 26 year old Mellissa Last of Craig Missouri was operating a Forklift on route W, 3 miles north of Corning. The forklift came out of gear and began rolling south down a steep hill. Last jumped from the forklift while it was still in motion and the machine ran over her before rolling into a pond. According to the Highway Patrol the forklift remains in the farm pond. Last was transported by Lifenet helicopter to a Lincoln, Nebraska Hospital in serious condition.
