Trenton City Council

One of the main issues discussed at the Trenton City Council meeting this week was how to help a local family who came over from England years ago.

The granddaughter of the family has lived in Trenton, legally, on her parent's visas almost her whole life. She applied for her own green card years ago but is facing deportation when she turns 21 in August if she does not receive it in time. Trenton city administrator Kerry Sampsen says the city of Trenton is outraged.

Sampsen says representatives from the offices of Senator McCaskill and Congressman Graves were at the meeting and expressed their support of the family.
