July 6, 2012NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI, MO | By: Grady
Two north central Missouri inmates spent the Fourth of July holiday escaping from jail.
One of two detainees remains at large after an escape at the Livingston County Jail Wednesday night. Sheriff Steve Cox says Tony Dawson and Bobby Ray Waddle, both of Brookfield, were able to partially force open a security door as inmates were being moved to the exercise yard for recreation. Various law enforcement officers searched the area after a possible sighting in the 900 block of Vine Street in Chillicothe. The citizen reported seeing two men in white boxers peeking in windows. By about one a.m. this morning Deputies took Dawson back into custody after he was located hiding in a residence in the 200 block of Clay Street in Chillicothe. Waddle remains at large. Cox says they have information that strongly suggests Waddle has been carefully planning this escape, and hopes to return to the Brookfield/Linn County area. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Bobby Waddle then please call the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office at 660-646-0515.
