The Nodaway County Commission last week approved a request for the County to expand it's Enhanced Enterprise Zone, known as E-E-Z.
Nodaway County's E-E-Z was originally formed to aid the wind-power industry in locating to the County. If Nodaway County's request is approved at the state level, more industries would be eligible for E-E-Z tax breaks. Nodaway County Economic Development Director, Lee Langerock says the Commission's action should be beneficial to the county.
Langerock says industry approved for Enhanced Enterprise Zone benefits include manufacturing, warehouse distribution, wholesale trade and professional services including research and development.
