MPS Resource Officer for Maryville Schools

Maryville Public Safety and the Maryville School District are again this year joining together to provide a Resource Officer to work closely with students.

Maryville Public Safety Director Keith Wood says the program has been in place for a number of years and helps Public Safety have positive contact with the youth of the community.

The Maryville City Council last week approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maryville School District to provide the Resource Officer for the school district. 75 percent of the resource officer's salary and benefits will be financed through the school district.
