Maryville Council approves Transfer station contract

The Maryville City Council last night approved a contract with Deffenbaugh Industries to haul trash from the city's transfer station to the company's landfill.

City Manager Greg McDanel says the new agreement will be savings to the city's budget .

In other action from last night's Maryville City Council meeting, the Council approved an application for the development of a 40-unit apartment complex located in the 1800 block of South Main. The Council also approved a funding request from the Leadership Maryville program and to close identified streets for the sixth annual Maryville Mini-Marathon to be held on August 4th.
