Fireworks Safety

The extreme dry conditions and hot temperatures have officials around Northwest Missouri concerned about fireworks safety during the Fourth of July holiday.

Maryville Public Safety Director Keith Wood says it's important for those shooting off personal fireworks to take extra precautions to prevent a fire from breaking out.
