A Missouri man was injured after his own car ran him over in Livingston County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bobby Brooks of Utica stopped on Livingston 414 and exited the vehicle without placing it in park. The Dodge Grand Caravan rolled backwards and knocked Brooks to the ground, then rolled over him. The vehicle soon came to a rest in a field and Brooks was able to find the roadside despite his injuries. Brooks was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with serious injuries but was then flown by helicopter to Saint Luke's Hospital.
