Hay Directory

With the dry summer, supplies of hay in some parts of Missouri may be lower than what's needed.

That's where the Missouri Hay Directory comes in. The Directory is an easy-to-use online database that lets users search in different counties, for different hay and bale types, and contact sellers directly. Director of Agriculture Doctor John Hagler says the Directory currently has more than 80 listings in Missouri, anywhere from 50 bales to 5,000 bales, which could make the difference for some farmers this season.

Hagler also says the website also links to other hay directories and auctions, which allows different communities to help supply each other.
