The 2012 Glenn Miller Festival starts tomorrow.
The festival brings together big band jazz musicians from around the world. President of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society Marvin Negley says the festival will start with students competing for scholarships, with the top winners performing later on. He says additional days and concerts of the festival will highlight top high school performers from Japan tomorrow night at 8. Also performing the next several days is the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Omaha Big Band from Nebraska and the Toronto All-Star Big Band from Canada. Negley says this gathering of people from different cultures and music is another reason why the festival draws people in.
