June 8, 2012LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO | By: Wayman
A grant awarded to the Livingston County Sheriff's department will help supplement the income of deputy sheriffs there.
The money comes from the state Department of Public Safety and will assist 9 sworn employees by providing for a little more than 24 thousand dollars in salary and benefits. The goal had been to get that number up to 28 thousand dollars a year. There is no match requirement from the county for the grant.
