A major St. Joseph employer is getting even larger.
Animal nutrition supplier Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica is announcing it's expanding operations into the Eastowne Business Park. The animal health company will be creating a 260 thousand square foot Consolidated Packaging and Distribution Center that will retain 60 jobs in St. Joseph, create 25 new logistics jobs, and add 80 more in the future. The city says it offered the company a 10 year tax abatement and upgrades to its existing plant to expand into the Eastowne Business Park. The company says the location and expansion will help its supply chain.
